Corniche, Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia

Filed under: Uncategorized — duckone @ 4:03 pm

Back in 2010, I was sent by my office to experience working abroad. They sent me to a city called Al Khobar, one of the main cities in the eastern province of Saudi Arabia on the Persian Gulf. Actually Al Khobar along with Dammam and Dhahran forms what they call “the triplet cities” due to their close proximity.

Even though I was sent there for work, my mind craves for some tour. I asked my friends where we should go in Al Khobar and they all said Corniche. I found out that corniche is a beach on the edge of the Persian Gulf.

What’s so special about corniche? You can say that corniche is like any ordinary beach but this one has the King Fahd Causeway. This causeway is 25km long and connects the kingdom of Bahrain to kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Me and Basir and King Fahd Causeway

Around a week after these photo was taken, I had the chance to travel on the King Fahd Causeway and enjoy a few hours of fun in Bahrain. I’ll have it on another post. Thats it for now :D
